Our longest-serving employee, Katrin Oberließ, has a new mission: as an expert in innovation and sustainability, she brings us and our customers a little closer to the goal of sustainability every day.
For us, it's very clear: when it comes to sustainability, everyone in the team has to get involved; no one can do it alone. But one person has to take the lead, hold everything together, and set the common direction. For us, that person is Katrin. Specifically, this means that Katrin is responsible for converting our entire product range, from food and beverages to consumables. She looks in detail at which option is the most sustainable in each case. And when necessary, she searches for new suppliers to continuously improve our offering.
In addition, she trains our team, exchanges ideas with trade fair companies, and works closely with food banks on the “Avoiding Food Waste at Trade Fairs” project. And because you can only improve if you know where you stand, she calculates our own carbon footprint and sustainability report once a year in accordance with the German Sustainability Code (DNK).
